    At the foot of Walden’s Ridge lies the town of Soddy Daisy with a median home value of $128,233.  Soddy Daisy includes plenty of nice, affordable subdivisions and a very close proximity to all of the retailing that exists in neighboring Hixson, TN.  The back half of Soddy Daisy features more rural homes and acreage.  The population in 2009 was 12,859 which represented an increase of 11.5% since 2000 making Soddy Daisy one of the fastest growing communities in the Greater Chattanooga area.

    Nestled in the Northwester portion of Hamilton County, Soddy Daisy began in 1969 when the cities of Soddy and Daisy joined together around the development of Route 27.  The community is home to Sequoyah Nuclear Generating Station and includes eight schools including Soddy-Daisy High School, Sequoyah High School, Soddy-Daisy Middle School, Daisy Elementary School, Soddy Elementary, Falling Water Elementary, and Allen Elementary. In 2009, Soddy-Daisy became the home of Tennessee’s first outdoor charter school Ivy Academy.
