Signal Mountain is an incorporated city located on top of ‘Signal Mountain’. Signal Mountain was so named for its’ purpose as a signaling point for the civil war. It is perched on a beautiful mountain overlooking Tennessee’s’ own Grand Canyon with the Tennessee River at its floor. With the population just under 7500, this quaint town has many community flavors. Dotted with summer cottages, grand palatial homes, overlooks, bluffs and many scenic settings, this is a unique place to visit or call home.
