To decorate, or not to decorate? That is the dilemma faced by many tenants, who question whether they should pimp out their temporary pad, or put their pennies towards their forever home.

When it comes to interior decoration, you can have your cake and eat it too, as there are a range of simple, cost effective and temporary things you can do to make your home more attractive.

Focus on portable decorations

Invest in smaller items that you can take with you when you move. For example, lighting, particularly in the form of table and floor lamps, can have a huge impact on a home. As well as providing task lighting, such lights frame your space and make it feel warm, inviting and homely.
