1. The essentials

Of course there are the basic working essentials, says Talia O’Connor, an interior stylist from MintSix home, like a desk that suits the size of your space, and a comfortable chair.

She also suggests a good desk lamp and plenty of storage so that everything has a place (all over the desk in a pile is not “filed away”‘).
NOT EXPENSIVE: It doesn’t have to cost a lot to set up an inspiring space to work from at home.

Debbie Ridling, Freedom Furniture’s managing director, advises not just using any old desk either – think about how you’re going to use it on a daily basis, and if you have to share it with another person.

Testimonials

I had to take a minute and send you a note letting you know how wonderful Barry is. He is working with my husband and me to help us buy our first house. Barry is amazing…he’s so patient and knowledgeable and fun. As first time home buyers, we know nothing, and living on the opposite side of the state doesn’t make Barry’s job any easier, but you’d never know those obstacles exist because every interaction with him is so flawless. I can’t thank you enough for having such an awesome Realtor for us…
