1. The essentials
Of course there are the basic working essentials, says Talia O’Connor, an interior stylist from MintSix home, like a desk that suits the size of your space, and a comfortable chair.
She also suggests a good desk lamp and plenty of storage so that everything has a place (all over the desk in a pile is not “filed away”‘).

Debbie Ridling, Freedom Furniture’s managing director, advises not just using any old desk either – think about how you’re going to use it on a daily basis, and if you have to share it with another person.
“If there is someone else that needs to use the space for their work, I’d suggest a solid yet functional table to double as a two-person desk, versus filling the room with multiple desks.”
