CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -In an effort to foster innovation in the next generation, the Chattanooga Public Library and the city hosted a “Chattanooga Makers Day” as part of a nationwide day of making.
Mayor Andy Berke was on hand doing arts, crafts, music and games with the kids. The children were able to take home what they made. And there was a lot to do.
Officials say they hope the day encouraged kids to think outside the box for years to come. Officials say Wednesday’s fair is just the beginning, there’s a larger event coming up in October.
